This docs microsite for SlimAI was born out of necessity from our expanded product functionality and increasing number of users. Additionally, the GTM team made the decision to move from Forestry to Prismic.
Rather than keeping docs in a tab on our website, I was tasked with collaborating cross-functionally to create a micro-site capable of scaling as our product continued to grow.
Our team at SlimAI was small and agile, which allowed me to take on multiple roles in creating this site.
The first phase included extensive research on docs sites to distill best practices. With these findings, I aligned multiple stakeholders on user flows and gained leadership buy-in. From there I collaborated with copywriters and the technical team to solidify content while simultaneously designing wireframes and mockups. The look and feel of the site aligned to the style guide our product team used in the portal to ensure a seamless experience for users.
After these two pieces were finalized, I worked closely with an engineering team to push the site live and created a system for efficient QA. I presented the polished version of the site to our team and continued to be responsible for its upkeep.
