The Ask
As someone who prefers giving experiences or memories, intentionality is at the forefront of any gift I give—much like my approach to design. Putting that philosophy into practice, this personal project was born out of necessity for a thoughtful birthday gift.

The Result
Rather than select a simple image as the cover or write a thoughtful note to format on the front, I challenged myself to ‘show, don’t tell’. I’ve always been drawn to and impressed by the art of collage. Testing out my own ability at this style of design, I paired a playlist exchange, a passion for collecting vinyl, and an endless list of inside jokes to create the gatefold, inside cover, and vinyl record stickers.
